It only exists because these folks at WordPress have set up the site so that if you want to make a comment on a WordPress blog, you have to open a WordPress blog yourself – which I’ve done, but only to demonstrate what a lame and dumb idea this restriction is. It’s like saying that you can’t go on holiday in the Canary Islands unless you already own a house there…
